The FM 1960 Parade Committee is proud to announce that this year’s Grand Marshal is Kevin Kline of the “Q Morning Zoo” radio show.
Kevin Kline is the co-host of the #1 rated, Marconi Award-winning, country radio show on the New 93Q (KKBQ-FM). He has been an on-air radio personality for 30 years.
When he’s off the air, Kevin is an avid runner. He ran his first marathon on January 14, 2007. Since then, has finished nearly 200 total marathons/ultramarathons in 48 states and on 4 continents.
From December 20, 2009 to January 1, 2010, Kevin ran 482 miles across Texas which became the subject of a full-length documentary entitled “DEAR CHELSEY.”
This past November, he ran from the Arctic Circle, north to the Arctic Ocean becoming the first person in recorded history to run the dangerous Dalton Highway in winter. Temperatures ranged from -13F to -44F during the 9-day run.
Kline’s Arctic trek raised more than $200,000 to help pediatric cancer patients. Kevin finished the 302-mile run in nine days and crossed the finish line on his 50th birthday. He was carrying a backpack filled with the names of nearly 1,800 pediatric cancer patients.
Kline and his wife, Trish, are the founders of The Snowdrop Foundation which raises money for pediatric cancer research and college scholarships for childhood cancer patients and survivors. To date, the organization has donated more than $4 million. Kevin and Trish have been married for 23 years.
